Pediatric cancer is the pits, no doubt about it. Yesterday I wrote about the bad side of having to come to the hospital. However, it’s not all bad. In fact, we try to make it as fun as possible for our kids and I’ve heard many parents describe our clinic as full of hope, life, and joy. Days like this are why some of my patients say “I LOVE coming to the hospital!” One little spitfire said that to me recently and it made me laugh. Pardon me elf on stilts, I need to get to work now… but really this is why I do pediatrics over adult medicine. Everyone comes together to make a crummy situation as good as it can be. #morethanfour #ChildhoodCancer365
